LitE consulting are Project Managing the implementation of HR, Payroll and expenses for a house builder company. The organisation had the procurement process completed by their internal teams but required an external project manager to guide them through the project.
The organisation have migrated their 1300 employee records off the Northgate Payroll and Hr system. The implementation is a business change project as no form of self service had previously been in place and the organisation had both an office and field-based workforce. The organisation was looking to improve efficiencies and processes as part of the project.
Bovis Homes took the decision to seconded one of their HR team to the project 5 days per week to work with the LitE team and support the work of the supplier. The supplier had delivered consultancy and training on the project which had then been supplemented by the LitE team.
Bovis Homes selected the Access Groups, Selecthr, Selectpay and Access expenses service which would be delivered via their workspace environment. The project commenced in October 2018 and has followed a phased implementation approach. Core HR, self-service, mobile app and expenses being phase one of project followed by the payroll implementation at the start of the new tax year in April 2019.
The organisation purchased the L&D, performance reviews, talent management, reporting and salary modelling modules which are being implemented on a phased basis.
The overall objective of the project is to move to a shared HR and payroll environment and to improve efficiencies. The efficiencies will be achieved by removing some of the duplication of effort through adopting self-service and removing paper-based processes.
The project will be fully complete in September 2019 with the organisation fully utilising the modules purchased. The organisation will now need to agree who will own the system moving forward to ensure that it is invested in, which will continue to deliver business benefit from the application.
