HR Project management
LitE Consulting have been selected to provide TKAT with project management services. Based in Kent, TKAT is a leading schools academy trust. The organisation have just recently purchased Selecthr and payroll services from The Access Group as there new HRIS solution. The project will involve: managing the overall project in line with their internal project team for both the HR implementation and the payroll service. The organisation have purchased consultancy services from The Access Group, in order to train their teams and implement the software. The project scope is to consolidate their current HR payroll provision, onto a single HR system and payroll service.
TKAT has schools in Essex, Kent, Surry, East Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire. Of these, 14 are Secondary Academies and 24 are Primary Academies. The forecast is for the number to grow to 45 next summer, and then 50-60 after that. At the current time, the headcount within TKAT currently sits at 3350 employees. The schools have been divided into the following 8 cluster groups, Essex, Bexley, Bromley, Medway, Thanet, Crawley, Hampshire, Gosport and Bexhill.
Some of the secondary schools have a dedicated HR resource, whilst in other schools HR is carried out by resources that have other duties to fulfill. Many schools run their own payroll using Capita, Selima, and Baxters payroll services. All Secondary Academies have a need for SIMS, to use for timetabling, as well as for holding peoples information.
TKAT will deploy an ‘Out of the Box’ solution and make use of the standard reports. Albeit, there may be a need to tweak some of these. The central team will complete all new reports and changes to existing reports. Meaning that they will need training on the integral report writer and Crystal Reports.
